Florida limits the fee for a traditional notarial act to $10. Mobile service is priced separately for travel, time, access, and convenience, so you can see what the stamp costs and what bringing the service to you costs.

Island access
Palm, Knight, and Don Pedro Island appointments
There is no bridge from the mainland to these barrier-island communities. The route may require Palm Island Transit vehicle-ferry access or an arranged water-taxi trip, plus waiting and island travel time.
Island quotes include the normal notarial acts, an island-access service charge from $35, and the current ferry, water-taxi, or parking cost. Because transit fares and operating conditions can change, those pass-through costs are confirmed for the appointment date rather than hidden inside a generic mileage rate.

Packet size, number of signers, number of acts, witness needs, printing, facility access, tolls, ferry timing, scanbacks, waiting time, and urgent or after-hours requests can change the total. Describe these details up front for an accurate quote.

Why is there a mobile fee in addition to the notary fee?
The notarial act is regulated. The mobile portion covers round-trip travel, scheduling, time, and location access. The two amounts are shown separately so the quote is understandable.
Is mileage one-way or round-trip?
When mileage pricing applies, it is calculated on the round trip. The first 10 miles are included in the mobile appointment estimate, then the planning rate is $0.75 per additional mile.
How are Don Pedro or Palm Island ferry charges handled?
The quote includes an island-access charge from $35 plus the current ferry, water-taxi, or parking cost. This keeps a changing transit fare separate and visible.
